Craven Street Wealth Team to Undertake London Landmarks Route in Support of Cure Parkinson’s

On 3 July, colleagues from Craven Street Wealth’s London office will come together to undertake the London Landmarks Half Marathon route, raising funds for Cure Parkinson’s and supporting the charity’s mission to accelerate the search for a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

Taking part in the challenge will be Craven Street Wealth’s Managing Director, Caroline Hawkesley; Financial Planning Director, David Thornberry; Financial Planner, James Griggs; the Client services team, Amy Jones, Kane Lawrence & Hash Varsani and Management Accountant, Becky Ley. They will be joined by Quanta Group’s Group CEO, Patrick Mill; Group Chief Financial Officer, Graeme De Moor; Group Chief Operating Officer, Harriet Griffin; and Group People Director, Elizabeth Holder.

The team has chosen to support Cure Parkinson’s, the only UK charity dedicated exclusively to funding and accelerating research aimed at finding a cure for Parkinson’s.

Supporting Groundbreaking Research

Established in 2005 by four individuals living with Parkinson’s, Tom Isaacs, Sir Richard Nichols, Air Vice Marshal Michael Dicken and Sir David Jones, the charity was founded in response to the urgent need for greater focus on research capable of slowing, stopping or reversing the progression of the disease.

Over the past two decades, Cure Parkinson’s has played a significant role in advancing scientific understanding and therapeutic development. Since its inception, the charity has committed more than £25 million to Parkinson’s research across more than 80 research projects and has helped leverage a further £100 million in funding through partnerships and collaborative initiatives.

As of March 2024, Cure Parkinson’s had supported research programmes at 38 institutions across 11 countries, providing funding to 56 Principal Investigators working at the forefront of Parkinson’s research. Through this global network of scientists, clinicians and researchers, the charity continues to drive innovation and progress towards treatments that have the potential to change lives.

Following One of London’s Most Famous Routes

The Craven Street Wealth London team will follow the renowned London Landmarks Half Marathon route. Beginning near Whitehall, the route passes through historic Westminster before continuing along the Embankment, offering views of the River Thames and many of London’s most iconic landmarks. Participants will then continue through the City of London before completing the 13.1-mile (21.1km) challenge.

The route showcases some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London, The Shard and the London Eye.

Support the Team

Every contribution will help support Cure Parkinson’s in its mission to fund innovative research and bring the scientific community closer to discovering treatments capable of slowing, stopping or reversing Parkinson’s disease.

We are proud to support this important cause and thank everyone who chooses to contribute.
