A glorious summer evening was enjoyed by attendees at An Evening At Macknade by Kent based law firm, Furley Page Solicitors.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted by Solicitor Abigail Bartlett and Business Development Manager Daniel Robertson with a complimentary glass of Chapel Down Bacchus as they entered the fantastic Macknade Food Village in Faversham.
After an initial welcome from Aaron Spencer and Martin Ward from Furley Page’s corporate charity, Canterbury Food Bank, Craven Street Wealth Director and Chartered Financial Planner, Tim Maakestad shared how the firm was pleased to sponsor this Kentish Wine Tasting and encouraged all to enjoy themselves before Finn from Macknade spoke about the rise of Kentish wines.
Guests were then able to sample glasses of white, red and rose’ from Simpsons Wine Estate, Oastbrook Estate Vineyard and Brenley Wines with further wines from Biddenden, Chartham, Woodchurch and Wayfarer being showcased as Financial Planners, Bethany Turton, Georgia Bulbrook, Guy Hilton, Lee Hayward, Louise Simpson-Brown and Ruth Dolan were providing hospitality with the Furley Page team. 10% discount in the Macknade store and wine shop was also available for the evening.
Thanks to some very generous raffle donations from The Dog at Wingham, Shepherd Neame, Faversham Golf Club, Fitzgerald Jewellers, The Marlowe Theatre, Ellie’s Gym Chilham, Canterbury Historic River Tours and Kent Cricket over £1,000 was raised for Canterbury Food Bank at the event.
