Understanding how care may one day be funded is one of the most important and often most difficult financial conversations individuals and families can face.
To help provide greater understanding and practical guidance, Craven Street Wealth is pleased to invite local residents to a free educational evening on Wednesday 8 July 2026 from 6:00pm-8:30pm at Herne Bay Manor, Herne Bay.
Hosted in partnership with the team at Herne Bay Manor, the session will be led by Financial Planning Director, Ruth Dolan and Chartered Financial Planner, Lee Hayward, both of whom hold specialist accreditation through the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA), widely recognised as the benchmark for advisers specialising in later life financial planning and care funding matters.
The evening will focus on helping attendees better understand the options available when planning for care costs and navigating later life financial decisions.
Topics expected to be covered include:
- Understanding the different ways care can be funded
- Planning ahead before decisions become urgent
- Considerations for care in later life and long-term financial resilience
- Questions families commonly face when supporting loved ones
- The role professional financial planning can play in creating confidence and clarity
Importantly, this is intended to be an informative and accessible session. Lee and Ruth will also be available throughout the evening to answer questions and speak with attendees.
As a Chartered financial planning firm with deep experience supporting individuals and families through major life transitions, Craven Street Wealth understands that conversations around care are rarely just financial. They are often emotional, practical and involve wider family considerations.
Ruth and Lee’s SOLLA accreditation reflects additional specialist knowledge and independent recognition of their experience in supporting clients and families with later life financial matters. SOLLA exists to help people access trusted advisers who understand the unique challenges and decisions that can arise in later life, including care funding and retirement planning.
Whether planning for yourself, supporting a parent or family member, or simply wishing to better understand the options available, we would be delighted to welcome you.
