Parkinson’s is the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world, with 1 in 37 people expected to receive a diagnosis during their lifetime.
Last month, Craven Street Wealth proudly sponsored Cure Parkinson’s on their latest adventure: a gruelling charity cycle through the Southern Alps, Gorge du Verdon, and Mont Ventoux. Thirteen dedicated riders took on this five-day challenge, covering over 600km and climbing more than 11,000 – surpassing the height of Mount Everest!
Craven Street Wealth’s sponsorship was proudly displayed on the cyclists’ jerseys, turning heads and helping to raise over £25,000. In total, the team’s remarkable efforts raised £40,000 to support Cure Parkinson’s vital research.
Founded in 2005 by four individuals living with Parkinson’s, Cure Parkinson’s was established in response to the lack of progress in finding a cure. Since then, the charity has committed more than £25 million to research aimed at slowing, stopping, or even reversing the condition.
Craven Street Wealth was delighted to support such a meaningful cause and contribute to impactful medical research.
David Thornberry, London-based Financial Planning Director at Craven Street Wealth, said: “Having supported Cure Parkinson’s for several years, I’ve seen the incredible work they do to drive forward research. This ride was not only an extraordinary physical challenge, but a powerful way to raise both funds and awareness. I’m proud that Craven Street Wealth could play a part in supporting such a dedicated team and such a vital cause.”
