On Friday 9th October, Craven Street Wealth welcomed women to The Female Finance Session, hosted at the beautiful Peterley Manor Farm, surrounded by the idyllic Chilterns National Landscape. 

Hosted by Dorset-based Lorraine Jones-Knott, Chartered Financial Planner and Senior Manager, alongside Tom Griffiths, Chartered Financial Planner from our Oxfordshire regional office, the session brought women together for coffee, cake and, most importantly, a little more confidence when it comes to their finances. 

With the help of the Peterley Farm Team, Lorraine and Tom created a welcoming space where women could explore their financial futures, share perspectives and discover how the right financial planning can help them feel more informed, empowered and in control. 

Making sense of their financial future 

Everyone’s life looks different, and so does their financial journey. From career choices and changing earnings to family life, relationships and retirement, our circumstances shape our finances in different ways. 

During the session, Lorraine and Tom explained how the decisions made today can influence the future, highlighting the importance of understanding the bigger picture and planning for the future. Covering areas including; Earnings throughout your career, pensions and employer contributions, longer lives and future needs, shared finances and individuals’ circumstances and life’s unexpected changes.  

These conversations highlighted just how important it is to understand not only where they are today, but also how their choices can shape the opportunities available to them in the future. That’s why Lorraine and Tom provided visual representations of cashflow changes overtime and how to positively implement these for the future. 

Whether they were thinking about retirement, making a career change, planning for a major life event or simply wanting to feel more confident about their money, understanding their financial future can make a real difference.
