Planning for later-life care at home: join our free webinar

Thinking about care in later life can feel daunting. Whether you are considering your own future or beginning to support a parent, partner or relative, understanding the options and planning ahead can make a significant difference.

Craven Street Wealth and Thrive Homecare are pleased to invite you to a free webinar exploring later-life care and the financial and practical considerations that can come with it.

Bringing together expertise in financial planning and care at home, the session will help individuals and families better understand the options available, how care can be provided while someone remains in their own home, and the financial considerations involved in planning for future care.

What will the webinar cover?

During the session, we will explore:

  • How to start planning for possible care needs before they arise.
  • The different types of care and support available, including care within your own home.
  • How homecare can help someone maintain their independence, routines and quality of life for longer.
  • How care needs and finances can interact.
  • Key considerations when planning for the potential cost of care.
  • The importance of considering care as part of wider financial and family planning.
  • When specialist financial, legal or care advice may be beneficial.

There will also be an opportunity to hear practical insights from professionals working directly with individuals and families navigating these decisions.

Meet our speakers

Bethany Turton, Senior Manager & Chartered Financial Planner, Craven Street Wealth

Bethany is a Chartered Financial Planner at Craven Street Wealth. She provides independent tailored financial planning to help clients make clear and confident decisions about their future and holds a specialist qualification in long-term care insurance.

Bethany will explore the financial planning considerations around later-life care and why thinking ahead can provide individuals and their families with greater clarity when circumstances change.

Chris Gage, Co-Founder & CEO, Thrive Homecare

Chris has around 20 years’ experience in care and co-founded Thrive Homecare to help people continue living fulfilling lives in the familiarity of their own homes.

Thrive provides personalised care and support at home, from companionship and help with everyday activities through to more comprehensive care as people’s needs develop. Its approach focuses on the individual; supporting independence, wellbeing and quality of life while enabling people to remain connected to their home, routines and community wherever possible.

Chris will explain what care at home can look like in practice, the different levels of support available and some of the considerations families may face when deciding what is right for them or someone they care about.

Who should attend?

The webinar may be particularly useful if you are:

  • Thinking ahead about your own later life and how you might fund future care.
  • Supporting an ageing parent, partner or relative.
  • Beginning to explore care at home following a change in someone’s circumstances.
  • Helping a client or family member navigate later-life decisions.
  • Simply looking to better understand the options before they are needed.

You do not need to be facing an immediate care decision to benefit. In fact, understanding the options before a need arises can give you and your family more time to consider what matters, understand the financial implications and make informed decisions.
