Championing the Arts: Craven Street Wealth Sponsors Canterbury Festival

Canterbury Festival is back with another exciting year of world-class performances, celebrating the arts from 17th October to 1st November 2025.

Following our support last year, Craven Street Wealth is proud to once again sponsor Canterbury Festival, an event that continues to bring together global talent and local community in a truly inspiring celebration.

This year’s programme features a line-up of extraordinary headliners. Imelda May will offer an intimate evening of music, poetry, and storytelling, while Richard Ayoade takes the stage to share insights from his new book, joined by the special guest Bob Mortimer.

The festival opens with a special celebration of women’s talent and achievement, headlined by the legendary Dame Evelyn Glennie, who will perform with the New London Chamber Ensemble in their powerful Sound Unbound performance.

In the weeks that follow, audiences can enjoy an array of performances spanning every art form – from classical masterpieces and literary legends to global music stars, including Mercury Prize-nominated folk singer Sam Lee. The festival also offers something for younger audiences, with Hugh Bonneville, star of Paddington and Downton Abbey, sharing the joy of reading through his debut children’s book.

Canterbury Festival is much more than a spectacular showcase. Behind the scenes, the festival delivers an ongoing programme of fundraising events, creative workshops, community initiatives, and career development opportunities that open the doors to the arts for people of all ages. The Canterbury Festival Foundation works alongside Festival Friends to nurture emerging talent – including through its annual Bursary Competition, which awards £1,000 to support a young performer’s tuition or to help purchase an instrument.

As an independent charity no longer receiving government funding, Canterbury Festival continues to thrive thanks to its passionate, hardworking team and the unwavering support of partners and sponsors. Each year it brings arts and culture to more than 50,000 people.

We are honoured to support this vital work and to help ensure that creativity and culture continue to flourish in Canterbury.
