Bedford Team Completes 10-Mile Greenfingers “Re-Leaf” Challenge

On 20th March 2026, the Bedford team laced up their trainers and took on the Greenfingers “Re-Leaf” Charity Walk in Tring, Hertfordshire. What began as a 10-mile walk quickly turned into an experience that was equal parts inspiring, challenging, and genuinely memorable for everyone involved.

The Team set off with a simple aim: to support a cause that truly matters. The Greenfingers Charity creates beautiful, therapeutic gardens for children in hospices across the UK; spaces where families can pause, breathe, and find small but meaningful moments of peace during incredibly difficult times. Knowing the difference these gardens make gave every step a deeper sense of purpose, even when the miles started to feel a little longer than expected.

There was something particularly special about taking on the challenge together. Away from desks, emails, and the usual pace of the working day, they had the chance to properly connect. Conversations flowed easily and laughter came naturally, it didn’t take long for the group to settle into a rhythm, with encouragement and support becoming just as important as the miles themselves, especially when faced with those seemingly never-ending uphill stretches.

As the walk went on, the physical challenge became more noticeable. Ten miles may sound manageable on paper, but it has a way of testing both stamina and mindset. There were moments when energy dipped, but those were the times when the team spirit really shone through. Whether it was a few encouraging words, a shared joke, or walking side by side in comfortable silence, they kept each other moving forward. Along the way, they made a point of celebrating the small wins: reaching a new mile marker, conquering a tough incline, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the stunning scenery.

Crossing that finish line was a proud and rewarding moment. It felt like far more than just completing a walk; it was a shared achievement built on teamwork, determination, and mutual support. It’s not every day you get to step away from routine and accomplish something like that as a group.

What truly stands out, though, is the impact behind it all. Every step taken contributed to the creation of safe, calming outdoor spaces for children and their families. Keeping that in mind gave the entire experience a meaning that went far beyond the physical challenge itself.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, supported, or cheered the Bedford team on along the way. Your encouragement genuinely made a difference and helped carry them through when it mattered most. It’s safe to say this won’t be our last challenge.

Here’s to sore legs, shared laughs, and doing something that truly matters.
