At Craven Street Wealth, we aim to keep clients and our professional network informed about financial developments in a clear, timely and accessible way, particularly against a backdrop of ongoing global tensions and economic uncertainty.
The Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, delivered her Spring Statement on Tuesday 3 March alongside the Office for Budget Responsibility’s latest Spring Forecast. In line with the government’s commitment to a single major fiscal event each year, the Statement focused largely on updated economic projections rather than introducing new tax measures, with previously announced policies set to begin taking effect from the new tax year in April.
While the Statement introduced no major new policies, many measures from earlier Budgets will begin to take effect over the coming months and years. This makes it a good time to review plans, particularly around estate planning and the effective use of available allowances.
